SURFING TASMANIA HISTORY PROJECT. 64′ State Champion and state representative at the Manly World Titles John Pool, surf legend Noel Harper, first ASA Tas Division Secretary David Lancaster, current STAS Executive Officer Shayne Clark and 1967 and ’68 State Champion and current STAS President Mick Lawrence met over coffees today to discuss old times and ideas towards collecting historical items, stories etc. This is part of a project Mick is pursuing to record interviews with early Tasmanian surfers with the view of producing a film.
