Exciting news! Women in Waves is returning on Saturday, November 30, 2024, and this time we’re heading to the stunning Bicheno. Surfing Tasmania, Coastrider Surf, and the local SLSC Bicheno are teaming up to bring you a fantastic day packed with surf coaching, ocean safety tips, and a new ocean literacy segment that everyone loved last year.

Women in Waves is all about making surfing accessible, fun, and empowering for women and girls of all backgrounds. It’s a day to build confidence, make new friends, and, of course, enjoy the waves!
This year’s event is made possible through the generous support of the Department of Health and Healthy Tasmania. Their funding has enabled us to host a second Women in Waves event, furthering our mission to make surfing accessible and empowering for women and girls across Tasmania.
