Expression of interest – two board vacancies

Surfing Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest to fill two vacant board positions. Surfing Tasmania is in a growth phase and has achieved many successes over the last couple of years including membership growth, sell out participation-based events (e.g. Women In Waves) and more state and private sector funding. Surfing Tasmania is looking for two board members to join a committed and collegial board who are dedicated to positioning Surfing Tasmania as a leading sporting organisation.

We are accepting written expression of interest applications addressing the criteria by 6pm 24 April 2023.

Desirable (but not essential) criteria are:

Living outside of Greater Hobart
Established connections in either the commercial business or government sectors
Board governance training
Previous board experience

Essential criteria are:

Personal attributes that enable being a good team player
Having the available time to make a valuable contribution (Surfing Tasmania is a voluntary not for profit organisation and our Board roles are fully active and participative roles)
Professional experiences that can add value add
Commitment to Surfing Tasmania’s strategic plan to create opportunity for anyone at any level to share the stoke of surfing and be the best they choose to be
