SCAMANDER/TASMANIA (Friday,12th May,2023): Scamander River Mouth provided good conditions today for the 2023 Red Herring Surf Tasmanian Schools Surfing Championships.

1-2ft clean waves gave competitors in both the MR Shield and All-Stars divisions all the canvas they needed to showcase their skills as sixteen school teams battled it out for the right to compete at the Australian Schools Surfing Championships later this year as part of the 2023 Woolworths Australian Junior Surfing Titles due to be hosted by New South Wales.

At the end of the day the forty competitors came away from a big day happy and proud of their performances in the team environment.
